Mike Pender’s Searchers – Vocal Group

Liverpool born Mike was a founding member of the Searchers, lead vocalist on many hit singles including ‘Needles and Pins’, ‘Don’t Throw Your Love Away’, ‘When You Walk in the Room’ and ‘Goodbye My Love’.

Mike Pender left the band in 1985 to pursue a career of his own, also in the 80′s he joined an all star Rock Band ‘The Traveling Wrinklies’. Consisting of Mike, Brian Poole, Clem Curtis, Tony Crane and Reg Presley lead singer of The Troggs.

Selecting a group of talented musicians Mike sought to recreate the unique and popular Searchers sound. Mike Pender’s Searchers began touring in the late 80′s. They have since toured Britain, Australia, USA, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and the United Arab Emirates.

In 1994 they were the first 60′s band invited to play on the QE2 as part of the world famous liner’s 25th anniversary.
